Chris—
If you’re referring to the “OK to Disconnect” message not disappearing for PC users, then no—it’s not “fixed.”

I just installed iTunes 4.5 on Mac. It complains about missing QuickTime 6.5.1 (although it seems to function fine). Where is 6.5.1?

one truly lives on the edge with usb 1.1!
for anyone else who might be in the same boat: you’ll get the wait message forever - if you try to shut the updater down, you’ll get another message telling you to continue to wait - you’ll wait forever until you get the guts to end the task. then, remove the hardware and behold the dreaded apple logo. You’ll get a status bar under the apple logo that will fill and then, you can make sure your gigs are still there and they should be!
(whew!)

“Beware! It seems to disable playback of Playfair DRM stripped AAC files.”
Ahh…that’s probably the real reason Apple released this update. Do any of you that have installed the update notice “improved playback performance”?

They didn’t fix the fact that my iTunes still won’t recognise CDs in my drive.

I’m sure that wasn’t the main reason, although I don’t dispute it was a convenient time to add said restriction: today also happens to be the one year anniversary of the Music Store.
