Mac|Linux: Freemymusic released - copy music from iPod to computer

More and more programs become available for copying your iPod’s music to your computer, but most programs also contain alot of iTunes functions. Why work with a bloatwear program if you’ve got iTunes? Raymond at Phonax.com created Freemymusic, a little application to copy music from your iPod to your Mac or to your computer running Linux.

I’ve seen tons of announcements for programs that will copy the music from your iPod to your computer, but are any of them really all that neccesary? Especially with Linux, which wouldn’t even bother listing the hidden folders as hidden, you can simply copy the music back. The only advantage that I see to having one of these programs is that it can read teh iPod’s database, but that can be done by using any search tool that all OS’s have.
