MacMice updates GPerch iPod stand

MacMice has released an updated version to its GPerch all aluminum iPod stand. The GPerch stand mimics the design of the yet-to-be-released Apple G5 Mac and now sells for $29.99 (originally $39.99)

Nice stand, but the original dock still seems like the best in terms of design. The iPod should appear light, easy to pick up, and comfortable.

Cheaper and faster to get, just steal your mama’s cheese grater. Use it as a stand. There you have it.

Cmon people… think outside your own shell.
Apple enthusiasts (the people that buy G5s and ipods) are usually pretty style-savvy. Hell, I’ve seen people who bought trash cans off the internet to match OS X’s trash can.
I’d never buy one, but I will never criticize a company for putting out an iPod accessory they think they can sell. The more, the better.
BTW… The iPod back doesn’t contact the metal—there appear to be little soft dots that contact the ipod.

What the hell is an iPod stand anyway? The new iPods have dock connectors, which do a specific job of connecting the iPod to the computer and charging the iPod (and a line out jack), but why do people buy something as useless as a stand for the iPod? The older models are perfectly fine just lying on the table, and who cares if the iPods get scratched? I don’t care if my gameboy or my cell phone or Palm or dog get scratched, so why does anyone care about the iPod? ####, I’ll go put a “gurls rule, boyz drool” sticker on it right now!
