Umm, so if this is version 1.0, and it’s an update, what has everyone been using for the last 4 days?

is the plug for the mini really necessary? I assume people already own one of their downloading this firmware.

this is an odd post - especially since every single iPod mini is shipped with version 1.0 installed.

yes but I assume they have just started to provide a download for it on the Apple web site. Future firmware releases will be available on the web now.

i ran into someone on BART today that owned a new mini ipod. Bart is of course bay area rapid transit. anyways, i had my 2nd gen 10gb ipod on me. although its a bit old in computer terms i felt vastly superior. all i could think of was how this yuppy just got ripped off and for a couple bucks more he could have bought a normal sized ipod. the ipod mini to me is more of a token piece than anything else. its something to show off. something to say “look im cool i just bought something that was on tv” i usually give a friendly knod to other people i see with ipods but this guy was so not worthy.
