Makayama has unveiled its new Movie Mount accessory for the iPad 2. The Movie Mount securely holds the iPad 2 while allowing it to be attached to a standard tripod mount for smooth camera movements when shooting video, and also offers the ability to use 37mm conversion lenses, the ability to slide on-the-fly between the built-in lens and a conversion lens, the ability to attach shotguns microphones and external lights, and compatibility with Apple’s iPad Smart Cover. Makayama’s Movie Mount for iPad 2 is available for pre-order now and is expected to ship next month for $70. [via Engadget]

With the lack of quality associated with the iPad 2 camera, is this the best device for your company to invest in? The irony of this product befuddles me.

The camera on the iPad 2 is absolutely pathetic.  Anyone who would use the iPad as a serious camera is a complete flipping #####.
