Marware Remote Docking Station announced

Marware today announced the availability of its new iPod Remote Docking Station. The $75 accessory allows users to connect an iPod to their home entertainment system and enjoy music, videos and photos. It includes “everything you need to enhance your home theater experience in one affordable package: the docking station, remote control, an A/V cable for use with a television or stereo system, a USB cable for charging and syncing, a power adapter, and S-video compatibility.” The Remote Docking Station works with the 4G and 5G iPod, iPod nano and iPod mini.

will this fit on the top of my HP Media Center PC? it’s such a better deal than Apple’s iPod universal dock and a/v kit.

I doubt it. If it did, you could be sure they would hype up that feature.
And like the Apple remote/dock combo, it only seems to provide previous/next type functionality for selecting photos/music/videos, and yet it’s more expensive than the combination of Apple dock and Apple remote. Oh, I guess you get a power adapter.
I’m still waiting for the DLO HomeDock Deluxe or the Griffin TuneCenter. Finally some USEFUL dock and remote functionality. Hopefully iLounge will review them quickly when they are available!
