Marware and Dr. Bott have announced the availability of the USB Travel Dock for the second-generation iPod shuffle. The $20 device, original set to ship in January, allows you to charge and sync the new shuffle while “causing no interference with adjacent ports, so you can prominently display your new 2G iPod shuffle right next to your laptop screen.” The USB Travel Dock also sports a blue “Power On” LED indicator.

Does anyone know if this accessory will work when you are using a PowerSupport Silicon Jacket on your 2G Shuffle?
Thanks -

no it won’t. your ipod sits in iy as tightly as in the apple dock. no room for a case. i do own one and it is nicely built. the wait for it was a bot much!

Looks nice if your USB ports are on the left side of your laptop and aren’t vertically aligned…
Too bad they ditched the simple design of the previous Shuffle’s USB connection. What someone needs to make is a 2 inch long USB cable for the shuffle - it would be smaller and easier to carry than this USB dock.
Or they need to make this USB dock also have 1GB of memory in it to make it more worthwhile carrying around.
