Mashed Pixel has unveiled its new Surc universal remote control for the iPhone 3G, 3GS, and iPhone 4. The Surc solution is comprised of a case with IR ports on the top, open access to all ports, controls, and camera, save for the dock connector, and a Micro-USB port for charging the device while in the case, and a free companion app. From within the app, users can set up custom remotes based activity or room, with the ability to look up remote codes from the Surc database or learn new codes from existing remotes. According to the company, the case itself works from up to 15 feet away, and users can share remote setups with friends and family via the app, and also backup remote layouts. Mashed Pixel’s Surc universal remote for iPhone 3G, 3GS, and iPhone 4 is expected to ship in the first quarter of 2011 and will sell for $70.

Is it me or are there no manufactures that can produce a case that can correctly accentuate the metal band around the iPhone 4? Take a look of the pelthora of cases available and the openings for the buttons and headphone jack, the majority have uneven spacing… As beautiful as the iPhone 4 is I feel as though there is no one case available that can protect and still keep the slimplistic look of Apple design.

You are correct. these manufacturer can’t get it right. As example, they putting out cases which have this edge comming over the glass. Do you know that some edges kind of sharp and it feels so uncomftable when u talk on the phone cause ur ear is rubbing back and forth oth this sharpt edge. I can write u a list of things they do wrong.
It takes me weeks to find a halfway decent case. Now, i’m looking for a flip case and god knows how long I’m searching for right now….
this is crazy,.. sometimes i beliefe they all are android owners, lol….
