“It isn’t a major surprise that the recent initial public offering filing of semiconductor company PortalPlayer got lost in the shuffle. [...]

Umm, you’re wrong.  I have never heard of an iPod made by a company called Inventec.  Now, there’s this American company that makes iPods, but I can’t remember what their name is…..

Apple doesn’t own any factories in Taiwan, they outsource the production to Inventec.
