Mix: DOOM, Space podcast, New Zealand, iDuck
The iPod Linux group has ported a “mostly playable” version of DOOM to the iPod.
NASA’s official website reports: “One day before landing, STS-114 Mission Specialist Steve Robinson transmitted the first podcast from space.”
Apple is one step closer to launching an iTunes Music Store in New Zealand after acquiring the iTunes.co.nz domain name from an individual.
The iDuck is a very iPod-like rubber duck that even comes in Apple look-alike packaging. [via Gizmodo]

Doom-on-iPod started work before there were color iPods—I’m glad they went color!
(But I’ll try it AFTER iPod Linux itself is more stable on color ipods.)

it’s not a podcast in any sense of the word, just a simple mp3 of a recording that just happened to be done from space…
calling it an mp3blog would be more appropriate.
