Mix: Gator podcast, VW Golf, First iPod, Apple gear
The University of Florida is has launched a news podcast that can be downloaded by students and staff from the school’s website.
German car site Auto News says that Volkswagen is offering an optional iPod interface in the VW Golf and Golf GTI for 195 euros.
Writing about trading in her first iPod for a 10% discount at an Apple Store, Wired’s Regina Lynn admits: “I suspected I would feel a twinge as I handed over my first iPod. Instead, I cried. It wasn’t that I burst into tears. It was more of an overflow. My chest actually felt squeezed.”
Apple will reportedly begin selling Apple logo merchandise (such as shirts, golf balls and other gear) at its retail stores across the US.

Funny, when I was in the Aventura, FL Apple Store the other day to buy a new iBook, another customer asked a salesperson if the green Student Union shirts were for sale.

Spare me the details of Regina Lynn’s experience. She’s a horrible writer.

I want an apple shirt too. The only thing is that they might be expensive.

Sorry spiderland, but that Lynn article was a good read.
I bloody well know I’d never love any iPod or any other MP3 player like that, but I do remember how I crushed I was when I had to sell my old ‘Cuda. And I do seem to be pretty attached to my BlackBerry…
It’s a sickness…

“My chest actually felt squeezed.â€?
Maybe that’s because someone was squeezing your chest, only you didn’t notice it while you were blubbering about your old iPod.
