Mix: Indie suit, Ofcom, Steve Award, Gadget Locker

A group of independent music publishers have filed a class action lawsuit against several digital music services—including Apple’s iTunes—for failing to secure licenses to sell downloads.

Ofcom, the regulating body for the UK communications industries, said it is working with other regulators to draft an EU-wide standard on the use of iPod FM transmitters.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs won the inaugural “Steve Jobs Award” in Wired magazine’s annual Rave Awards. Wired says the award recognizes sustained excellence and creative genius.

The Think Different Store (1-800-iPod.com) recently changed its name to Gadget Locker. The change was made to better represent its broad range of product categories.

Ok, let me get this right…
“Steve Jobs won the inaugural “Steve Jobs Award”

I don’t read wired but this seems to be saying Steve Jobs won an award that is named after him???
