Mix: Kraft recipes, Made For iPod, Story Log, Yahoo Japan
Kraft Foods has released a recipe collection formatted for iPods. The free download includes “over 100 classic summer recipes featuring Kraft Kitchen’s best grilling ideas, desserts and more.”
Apple has reportedly trademarked the “Made For iPod� name and logo. The trademark was filed on August 10th with US Patents and Trademarks Office.
The Story Log, designed by Ben Durrell, is a unique iPod dock/speaker system made from a 2-foot section of a tree trunk. [via Josh Spear]
Yahoo has launched a digital music store in Japan that allows customers to listen to full-length songs before buying them in a move to counter Apple’s Japanese iTunes Music Store.

In all truth, it isn’t surprising that Yahoo Japan can let people listen to full-length samples, for a good reason - in Japan, a lot of stores not only rent out movies, but music CDs as well. At decent rental prices, these are much better a deal than online stores (minus the legality factor), in terms of price and sound quality (AAC vs. CD). Combine that with the ubiquity of the MD, and you find quite a harsh marketplace for online music stores…
