I reported about this yesterday in my thread entitled “iRob”. The number of iPod robberies is going to increase as the weather gets warmer, so to those riding subways, out and about, I would suggest you change the color of your earphones when i enviornments like public transportation or that aren’t completely safe and familiar to you.

i live in new york and take the subway everyday to my school, which by the way is THE worst school in the city (with a minimum of like 5 fights a day) and i always hear people in my high school talk about how they robbed someone on the train for an ipod. I have an ipod and it always makes me sick what they do but i can’t do anything about it. For people who take the subway! :
1. DONT WEAR THOSE TERRIBLE APPLE EARBUDS(terrible quality)
2. theres usually two people involved! trust me i know (they pass it off to each other)
3. These people know what they are doing and where! so they know how to escape! if you see a police officer around you tell him dont try to go after the guy yourself.

Good advice.
The iPod, like any valuable, is NOT something to show off to strangers in unsafe places. Common sense.

KAZ, I live in NYC. Which High School are you referring to? Martin Luther King?
If you have an iPod and bring it to school with these thugs, how do you protect yourself from getting stolem by these punks at your school?
