Mix: Tech Night Owl, Microsoft/Creative, iPod eBooks

In order to better compete with the iPod, Microsoft chairman Bill Gates reportedly said that his company would work closer with Creative Technology. “The iPod has done great marketing and great design,� Gates was quoted as saying. “We have to do something with our partners that’s just better.�
Manybooks.net has made its entire eBook collection available in iPod Notes format. The free collection consists of the entire Project Gutenberg library in addition to other select texts.

the ebooks are AWESOME

I’m having problems with the ebooks. As the website states, there is supposed to be a link at the bottom of every page that you can click to forward you to the next page, however, it’s not on there. The only way to get to the next page is to hit menu and scroll to the next page, but it can be confusing to find the right page when you have over 80 pages to scroll through, not to mention it is a pain to hit menu everytime you’re done with a page…but it is free so I can’t complain too much.

Downloaded and started reading one of the eBooks yesterday and they great. I’m loving it.
borracho - the site does have links at the top and bottom of the page (numbers) you click on the forward to the next page. I searched for books under each category and had no problem.

The iPod formatted books _should_ have links at the top and bottom of each “page” (< for previous, > for next), so if you find a book that doesn’t have them please let me know—just use the “contact webmaster” link on any manybooks.net page to let me know which ones are having trouble and I’ll look into it!

The books I had trouble with were War of the worlds and Art of War.
