Monster Cable Releases New iPod Accessories

pic Monster Cable Products has released several new iPod products in addition to the recently reported iCarPlay Wireless. The Monster iCase Travel Pack ($70) is a large carry case which comes with a Monster iCarCharger to charge your iPod, a Monster iSplitter to share music with a friend, and room for all your gear. The Monster iSpeaker Portable ($60) is a portable speaker system for iPods and laptops and features eight hours of playtime on a set of four AA batteries and includes a three foot mini to mini stereo cable. The Monster iSportCase ($20) features a white translucent rubber case with an open-face design, belt clip and self-adhesive car mount for use in the car. The iSportCase comes in small (10, 15, 20GB) and large (30, 40GB) size for all iPods with dock connectors. As of this posting, Monster Cable does not yet have any of the new accessories available for purchase, but Apple Store online has the iCase Travel Pack for $69.

Sounds like a good idea and good price on the travel case, but I’m kinda torn as to how often I’ll use it. Plus, they’ve got to really get a better picture going of the iSportsCase going. Is it covered in the front or what? And lastly, what the hell is it with companies throwing an “i” in front of everything? Geez, it’s starting to get really annoying.

And, they call the case an iCase, but if you look at the second image (under See More Images), it clearly says Incase, so they don’t even make it themselves.

okay we all agree - monster is the ‘bose’ of cables - overrated and cheaply produced

Looks like the Incase “iCase” is perfect for all those folks who own each one of Monster’s accessories. iWhatever!

Or perhaps they’re the “Apple” of cables? :p

if you look closely the iCase comes with car adapter and spliter. not a bad deal if you ask me

i agree w/ jjordan.  the icase comes with the car adapater and splitter, which, if you just buy those 2 items, it comes to $54. . so really its only $16 for the case, which is quite good.

Now honestly, $13 for an headphone jack splitter? it is a bit much, and $40 for a car charger, yea, thats a bunch.  Are they worth it though?  I have the belkin car charger and the xtreme mac car charger for my 40GB ipod.  The belkin is ‘semi good’ quality and the xtreme mac is just terrible quality.  the eh, Monster one does look rather high in quality but ya know.  If you wanna spend that much for something that not only looks good but also is built good, go for it.  For everyone else, you have the choice of the belkin or the xtrememac.  so yea . . . .
