Monster Cable has announced that it is now shipping its iFreePlay Cordless Headphones for second-generation iPod shuffles. The headphones feature an iDock port for the shuffle that connects directly to the headphones, eliminating the need for cords. “With all other headphones, you need someplace to put your iPod Shuffle, not to mention dealing with the cumbersome headphone cords,” explained Noel Lee, company founder. “But with the Monster iFreePlay you dock your iPod Shuffle directly into one of the headphones.” The headphones also fold for compact storage, and weigh 1.6 oz. The Monster iFreePlay Cordless Headphones are available now and sell for $50.

Great! I’ve just got my iPod shuffle last week, and that Monster headphone is what I need!
Pros: easy, portable, no wires
Cons: they are ugly. Too expensive. (if they cost $50 why don’t they offer a very stylish design? :-(

well they all need a little power, since they still are mechanical devices. they need energy. the name cordless is misleading probably. its not like rf or bluetooth were you have to have separate bateries. ist like having extremely short cords, so short the shuffle is right next to your ear.
