Mophie has introduced its new Juice Pack for the iPhone 3G. Like the company’s Juice Packs for iPhone and iPod touch, the iPhone 3G version houses a rechargeable lithium polymer battery within a soft touch, non-slip rear case. According to Mophie, the Juice Pack offers an additional 350 hours of standby time, 6 hours of talk time on 3G, 12 hours of talk time on 2G, 6 hours of Internet use on 3G, 8 hours of video playback, or 28 hours of audio playback. Other features include “Works With iPhone” certification, a 4 LED charge status indicator, and a USB passthrough port for charging and syncing. The Mophie Juice Pack for iPhone 3G is available for pre-order now and will ship in September for $100.

I am constantly charging my battery! I already got mine on pre-order and hoping I get it before my trip to New York City. I want to be able to wander around with the GPS and iPod going without having to worry about stopping at a starbucks to charge up

Well, I have a Mophie 1st Gen for the iPhone I.
I love the concept of this battery BUT I just hope for the $100 that they
have improved their design as the rubber finish/coating rubs off with any regular friction such as in and out of a briefcase pocket. It looks atrocious with the flaking rubber and the green paint shining thru from where the black finish is gone.
Im also not quite sure it lives up to nearly as along as it claims their battery charge allows.
Im not intending to knock the mophie, i still think its the #1 solution out there for iPhone, I just think it has some room for aesthetic improvements for the price and demographic its targeting. (Id buy it again if and when I get a 3G phone)
