Mophie has introduced its new Juice Pack battery extender for iPod touch. Like the company’s previous Juice Pack for iPhone, the Juice Pack for iPod touch houses a rechargeable lithium polymer battery within a black soft-touch case that attaches to the touch’s Dock Connector and headphone jack and covers the device’s bottom and most of its back. The battery provides up to seven additional hours of video playback and 30 hours of audio playback. The Juice pack also features a 4 LED charge status indicator on its back, along with its own mini USB connector, and a pass-though headphone jack. The mophie Juice Pack for iPod touch will be available in August and can be pre-ordered now for $100.

I love my Mophie Juicepack for my 1st Gen iPhone.
Darn shame that they don’t have one available for the iPhone 3g ready to go for buyers tomorrow.
From what I read, the 3g iPhone will require one if you want to make it through an entire day of 3g surfin’ madness.

Is a screen protector included? I currently use a hard acrylic shell covering everything but the screen. I don’t suppose there is room for that in the Mophie?
The design of the Mophie appears to be worth the sacrifice.
