MTV Movie Awards includes iPod mini gift bag

The MTV Movie Awards will be offering up the iPod mini and accessories by Digital Lifestyle Outfitters (DLO) to presenters and performers attending the event. The basket includes, in addition to the iPod mini and DLO iPod mini accessories, an XM Satellite Radio, Microsoft Xbox, Logitech Webcam, Electronic Arts games and more. DLO’s gift basket includes the TransPodFM All-in-one Car Solution for iPod and iPod mini, the Jam Jacket Pro mini workout case with armband and the Podfolio mini leather case. The show airs Thursday, June 10 at 9p.m. ET.

So that is why there is a six week minimum wait for an ipod mini. MTV bought them.

Not only THAT, but MTV would make more points with its viewers if they were doing some sort of iPod giveaway to their viewers in honor of the Awards; NOT to the artists that we viewers already spend our money on and who can easily afford to buy their own iPod and music toys!

Don’t be a suck.  Get a job and buy your own.

As much as we would all like to slag these stars off, we’re all just jealous underneath :) Well I am anyway…

Kirsten Dunst wearing only her iPod mini strapped onto her thigh with the workout case would be pretty nice…

can’t these people go buy their own ipods?  persons in a position to buy anything they want all too often get gifts handed to them for free.

Edited for language

i agree wtih truth teller, wtf.. these people would buy 100,000 or any of the items in the gift basket, and probably already have owned and discarded them all, twice…

want to give them somthing nice? take them out to like the most ridiculous dinner you can think of. because no matter how rich you are.. you still have to eat. let them eat somewhere creative.. on you!

FYI, You’re right….I don’t work, but don’t have to, and could buy iPods (and already have) for my friends that can’t afford it. My point is that it would be nice to give those who can’t afford one a chance to get one thru a contest, instead of dumping them freely on people who could buy as many as they want!  ‘Nuf said!

This page references the iPodlounge blurb and has another approach to the gift bags at award shows.

“Because obviously they need it for free…........”

Anyone else think it’s a little odd that MTV gives away iPods and uses Macs on every Real World/Road Rules episode, yet their site and magazine cds are not Mac-compatible? I know that’s a subject change, but I find it odd.

If MTV have any of those gift bags left over after the awards I will quite happily have one.
