Gameloft has released an update to its popular game N.O.V.A. adding support for iOS 4 and the iPhone 4. N.O.V.A. 1.2.1 adds a gyroscopic control mode for iPhone 4 users with a complete 3D range of movement and provides enhanced high-resolution graphics to take advantage of the iPhone 4 Retina Display. The update also adds Fast App Switching for users of multitasking-capable iOS 4 devices. N.O.V.A. is a first-person shooter that puts the player in the role of a futuristic Marine hero who must battle unknown forces to prevent mankind’s annihilation. Users can choose to play through a single-player campaign with 13 levels across five different environments or participate in a multiplayer game over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. N.O.V.A. - Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance is available from the App Store for $5 and is a free update for current users. An iPad version is also available separately for $7.
