Native iPad support discovered in Facebook app

TechCrunch has discovered code within the official Facebook app for the iPhone and iPod touch suggesting that a universal version of the app with native iPad support may be coming soon. The report further notes that the iPad code is operational and with a bit of hacking the app can be forced to run on an iPad using the new native iPad interface, although Facebook has since blocked access when using the app in iPad mode. A gallery of images from the Facebook app running in iPad can be found at TechCrunch.
