NBC airs iTunes promo during prime time
Following yesterday’s addition of several NBC shows to the iTunes Music Store, the network wasted no time in promoting the downloads on air. Last night’s episode of “The Office,” which prominently featured a fifth-generation (video) iPod as part of the show’s plot, briefly featured an animated overlay ad that read: “Your favorite episodes of The Office now available on iTunes.” The promo also clearly showed an Apple logo (see iLounge’s screen grab).

Well, there is another lawsuit. Apple is not supposed to advertise their logo with the iTunes Music store as part of the agreement between Apple (The record company) and Apple (Computer). So placing them together is subject to a hefty fine… BTW.. word never came out of what the settlement between the two companies had in court.

Many (if not all) of the iPod ads feature the Apple logo and iTunes. Sure not together at the same time, but the split hardly looks like two different ads.
