“Do I feel ripped because I bought the 15GB instead of “waiting” for the 20GB to arrive—OF COURSE NOT!”
You know, when I ran out of room in my Archos I just opened it up and switched the 10GB drive for a 60GB drive. Apple has locked you in with those funky non-standard hard disks in the iPod. A player doesn’t have to be big like the Archos either I see the new Rio Karma is the same size as the iPod, uses 2.5” drives, records, and has a crossfader. I know what player I’llbe buying next. While Apple retards innovation in the iPod line (3G my ###! where’s the features?!) by confusing hard drive size for advancement, other manufacturers are making audio/video handhelds to die for!
Rio Karma
Smaller than an iPod, and with FLAC (ie, lossless) audio recording and playback. Same high price though. No video.

RCA Lyra
Video! Nice and slim, but a bit wide.

Archos AV
Nicest video player/recorder of the lot (mainly bcos it’s their second-gen video handheld). But pricier than all the rest. Very sweet though.

Happy Days
I bought the original 20GB ipod at Best Buy a year ago with the warranty. I deleted some software in the Ipod and took it back and said this thing broke. They just exchanged it, now i have the new 30GB, but i guess it’s not so new huh? Anyways I miss the original one. How am I suppose to keep the power going in my car on a long trip?
