A.B. Sutton has released several custom, hand made cases for 2G/3G iPods, and iPod mini. Made of goatskin leather imported from the Middle East and silk from India, A.B Sutton cases come in a vast array of colors and four distinct designs - monogram, stripe, flora or solid. The 2G/3G iPod cases are available with ($120) or without ($100) a front cover. The iPod mini case sells for $70, and all cases are individually numbered.

this looks like the biggest rip off of any ipod case i’ve ever seen, get a Vaja case if you want a nice leather case, better leather, half the price

Isn’t that amazing? For the first time ever, Vaja cases are a DEAL compared to these cases!

I can understand the people who buy expensive accessaries for their iPods, but $100 for a case is just insane…..It’s makes the iPod so much bigger and much of a hassle to carry around.

They must be insane to charge 100 to 120usd for that, I would rather pay 80 some odd usd for a sweet vaja case.

I think these people who produces ipod cases thought that ipod users are made of money. I rather buy a nice jacket with plenty of pockets ~ in and out this price. I’ll recommend a pocket with a zipper and a bit deeper that the usually.

Maybe there are people in the world who get some satisfaction from paying a bit more money for something that a human actually had a hand in producing.
I mean…why would anybody buy a Ferrari or an Aston Martin when a Chevy Cavalier will get you from point A to point B just as well? Because they can.

Yeah, but the Ferrari and Aston Martin LOOK GOOD. These don’t. Well, not to me anyway. Vaja is handmade too, much nicer than these.

I prefer the single tone leather look of these ones. For the 3G iPod the Vaja ones just looked too weird (and more like plastic than leather). Of course I’m still holding out hope that Coach will reintroduce an iPod case (they used to have a 1G one) but now when they do it’ll probably be for the 4G and not the 3G =(

coach is introducing a new python embossed leather case for the 3G. was supposed to come out a while ago (was in an issue of elle a few months ago, and new york mag a couple weeks ago). see http://www.newyorkmetro.com/nymetro/shopping/columns/bestbets/9637/index.html
of course, nobody at the coach store had heard of it. i wonder if they cancelled b/c of the 4G release.
