ummm...remember how griffen pre-announced the current version of iTrip? i refuse to buy anything from griffen until the product actually ships. they have a really really bad habit of pre-annoucing products and continually pushing of ship dates.
just MHO

Fry’s and buy.com sell a product called GruvX by Cendyne that is comparable. It can be tuned to any FM frequency.

I have to admit that I’m disapointed about this news. I had been waiting for the original iTrip and never did get one after they began to ship. In the mean time I got a 3G iPod and asked to be put on the list for the new iTrip. In total I’ve been on one waiting list or another since March. Waiting is not fun, but not being told by the company about a delay is just plain unacceptable. Time to write Griffin and cancel…

i also heard that the new iTrip will be software controlled. i heard it will come with software to install onto the ipod that will controll it. thus, the deal with apple to get the aoftware pushed back the date. also the fact that there are over 18,000 preorders put it behind a bit ebcause they have to manufacture so many of them. my advice i got from griffin at MWNY was to wait, dont preorder, and go to the apple store to buy it, since they have a quantity reserved, so they’ll rec them right away.

everyone, please dont despair, this is a great product, and its worth the wait...if theyve been having problem, they have, but they really are good people and were upset at MWNY that they had to puch back the date
