NYC man eats roaches for an iPod
“Pariente was fastest among three finalists at eating a baker’s dozen of oven-baked cockroaches — and he did it with his hands tied behind his back and without ketchup.
‘They were good,’ he said, cradling the box with the small computer inside. ‘Crunchy and salty. I would eat them again.’”

Whoops, bakers dozen. 13, still not too hard. Those bug eating contests are all mental, just picture eating candy and close your eyes.

The box with the small computer inside? I thought he was getting an iPod.

i’ve eaten roaches (actually water bugs) on my trips to asia and polished off alot more than a dozen at a sitting. no doubt about it i would’ve won the contest had i entered. nothing goes better with a cold brew than a creepy crawly.
