In a characteristic demonstration of his ability to personalize other people’s musical innovations, rap mogul P. Diddy used this evening to unveil a diamond-encrusted iPod at his after party for the MTV Video Music Awards. Covered with 120 diamonds, the HP-labeled iPod is now unquestionably amongst the world’s most expensive customized iPods, and each guest at the Diddy party will receive an iPod - sans ice. Additionally, iPod minis and related accessories have been given away to VIP attendees of the Video Music Awards, and to VIPs at an earlier MTV Movie Awards show this year.

Bit of a coincidence this
Rapper 1: 2pac gets killed by unknown gunman… ‘hates’ B.I.G.
Rapper 2: Notorious B.I.G. gets killed by unknown gunman… in ‘revenge’ for 2Pac

Complete waste of time and effort by even posting this story. The rich will always ‘waste’ their money away because they can. To the regular, hard working people who don’t have the expendable cash, this will not make any sense. Remember JLo with the diamond studded cell phone? Must be a trend to be totally ignorant. Enough of this useless waste of time. On to some “real” iPod infprmation and stories that make sense.

“Is that what’s goin’ on in the streets Ness? You just gonna sit there and do your iTunes? ... I’m shuttin’ down the studio. If you wanna open it again, you gotta walk to the Bronx, I want the iPod of a Mongolian virgin. ... Damn that is good iPod. ... Now you gotta walk to Jersey and take a picture of a midget holding these ice’d out iPods.”

I don’t get the point. All he is doing is showing off his money, it doesn’t add anything to the experience. Now, what would have been cool (hah, litsten to me) is if he had it customized where instead of the normal metal back, it would have been platinum. That would be total 0wnage.

With all those diamonds, it is probably too big to fit into one of those cool cow spot patterned fuzzy cases!

a rapper such as p. diddy probobly doesnt know any better. they do dumb things all the time like put fake gold teeth in that make them ugly.
hah i thought i stressed about my ipod enough with scratches and such, diddy wants to show off and most likely doesnt have a single song on it.

ALL ya stop hating. your lives doenst compare to this man. He’s use to doing everything big not like us. we think small.
How about HP paid him to promote theit new ipod, and probably thought instead of a regular ipod why not put diamonds on it to make it stand out more as an hp ipod.
And hp probably paid for those diamonds.

It’s the “I’m Mr Tough Guy” act. Twenty years ago (well fifteen actually) those Mr Tough Stuff Guys were the mullet hair bands. Today they’re the gangbangers/pimps whatever…Twenty years from now we’ll look at rappers like people today have sympathy for the mullet folks.
Anything that looks mean, violent and offensive, teen boys love. And teen girls are fascinated by it.
Let him look like an idiot.
