picIn a characteristic demonstration of his ability to personalize other people’s musical innovations, rap mogul P. Diddy used this evening to unveil a diamond-encrusted iPod at his after party for the MTV Video Music Awards. Covered with 120 diamonds, the HP-labeled iPod is now unquestionably amongst the world’s most expensive customized iPods, and each guest at the Diddy party will receive an iPod - sans ice. Additionally, iPod minis and related accessories have been given away to VIP attendees of the Video Music Awards, and to VIPs at an earlier MTV Movie Awards show this year.

whats so ugly about it? most of ya’ll drool over the colorwarpc colors, the customization of the iskin, ####, and vaja cases.

So i take it that the ones that dont like it, just dont like Diddy…so that makes you a busted a$$ hater who complains about the money he spends, then buys a $400 ipod…lol

why is everyone gettin all pissed b/c of this.  “He is so dumb”, is that why he is succesful in every thing he does. None of you can honestly say id hp offered to pay you to carry around this ipod you would turn them down, and say u should feed the cildren instead… since i already have ignored them and bought my own ipod

The way I understand it, Diddy was given the Ipod by HP I don’t think that he paid for it himself.  Rahter HP was using him to promote thier “new” product.  I honestly don’t see how people who have blown close to five hundred dollars on this player have the nerve to be mad that this man was essentially GIVEN this Ipod to promote thier “new” product line.

I personally am into computer parts and have come pretty close to blowing about a grand on my computer because I am trying to build a machine with “absolute power.”  Now alot of people would think I am crazy for trying to go for “absolute power” yet they would probably do it if they had the inclanation or more importantly the resources to do so.  In short all of the people who say that this whole “ice pod” thing is stupid would have no qualms accepting such a thing from HP if they were given the opprotunity.

Hmm…successful in every thing he does?  Has anyone asked him to recite the alphabet yet?

His followers are mostly the “farting in public is funny” white boys who love to drive around and blast that crap to piss off everyone else.

Yawn - give me someone original who can also add.

I hear Hitler was quite rich as well. Does that fact make him respectable?

I completely agree that these people bashing P. Diddy probably know essentially nothing about him, other than the fact that he’s a rich rapper. They probably have no idea he successfully started and maintained his own clothing line, that he he’s a successful music producer, that he helps promote voting in America at the conventions (to get more people voting than the pathetic numbers of the past), that he does broadway, gives millions to charity every year, runs marathons competitively, funds innovative youth programs for kids, donates to college, gave 100 computers to more than 500 schools in New York alone, runs an annual food drive every Thanksgiving for the underprivelaged, which in 2000 fed more than 30,000 people in Atlanta, among other things. He’s also marched in the “Million-Man March” to protest for more support of greater public school funding. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. So to me, it doesn’t really matter what he does with an iPod. It’s simply a pat on the back for what he has done for both himself and America, especially the youth. I think it’s great what he’s doing.

READ: Rips off other people’s music because he is a talentless hack. Substitute “butcher” for “personalize”.

What a #####. A ##### with a diamond encrusted ego.

Those people can afford iPods anyway. What a fake saint.

Watch my vomit go bling.

Being rich doesnt make him respectable…. Selling millions and millions of albums to millions and millions of people while starting up several businesses and several TV shows and some movie cameos does.  So people who dont like him for dumb reasons are either jealous of his success or dont like his style of music (which is just wrong), or angry cause he dated J.Lo, or the only man besides Mr T that can sport a mohawk.

Maybe if Winger, Journey, or Tom Jones was as successful as Diddy, you wouldn’t be as hateful.

You guys are hating…thats pretty weak.

Dont cry because you dont have a diamond ipod.

He has lots of things we dont have, thats just the way it works.

You can sit here and boo hoo about it, or you could stop being a cry baby and be happy with what you have

Posted by haters on August 30, 2004 at 3:58 PM (PDT)

ok, so he isnt dating J.Lo anymore….he’s dating Niomi Cambell.  Not a bad trade.  Oh and i’m sending my Ipod to Colorware, and i’m gonna keep it in a Piel Frama case, something i know may of you have done/thought about doing.  Thats a lot of money for personalization…dont kid yourselves.

Some of you people hate on Diddy.  I bet you’re the same people that hated on Liberache and elvis.

BigBoned:  “READ: Rips off other people’s music because he is a talentless hack”

So that means Elvis was a “talentless hack”?  He did “remix” black gospel music…

...hmmm something to ponder upon.
