P. Diddy unveils diamond-encrusted iPod+hp

picIn a characteristic demonstration of his ability to personalize other people’s musical innovations, rap mogul P. Diddy used this evening to unveil a diamond-encrusted iPod at his after party for the MTV Video Music Awards. Covered with 120 diamonds, the HP-labeled iPod is now unquestionably amongst the world’s most expensive customized iPods, and each guest at the Diddy party will receive an iPod - sans ice. Additionally, iPod minis and related accessories have been given away to VIP attendees of the Video Music Awards, and to VIPs at an earlier MTV Movie Awards show this year.

“The way I understand it, Diddy was given the Ipod by HP I don’t think that he paid for it himself. Rahter HP was using him to promote thier “new” product. I honestly don’t see how people who have blown close to five hundred dollars on this player have the nerve to be mad that this man was essentially GIVEN this Ipod to promote thier “new” product line.”

Exactly! I think people who have money, get richer just because they have money. Its how the world works. Just how my mom gets gift cards in the mail from target all the time because she pays her “target credit card” off the minute it gets something on it…its just how it works people.

I dont even like P Diddy.. he gives hip hop a bad name imho.. but why is everyone hating on his iPod? Some people will always be that rich.. unless the world turns communist or something. And like someone else said, he does give money to charities aswell. And he’s promoting the iPod. Whats wrong with that? :D

“Diddy makes music, clothes, ect.

The Nazis were *all* about branding. The Nazi Party sold branded cigarettes, booze, cars and, yes, clothing. They were a one-stop crappy patent leather shop.

Can’t wait until he unveils the platinum chain to hang that iPod around the neck with.

Look, it’s obvious he’s pushing the bling envelope to a whole new level…yo…his pioneering, trailblazing originality should be praised and celebrated…word to your mother.

Speaking of the VMA’s…what’s the deal behind ushers “you got it bad” song…

What’s that about? Gas?

I’m suprised none of the marketers for Beano, Pepto or Gas-X hasn’t signed a deal to use that song in a commercial - that’d be funnier ‘n hell!

We got one dude saying how he butchers songs, but never mentions how Sting sung “i’ll be missing [watching] you” at the VMA’s

One guy comparing him to Hitler because of branding when Apple is a brand, Sony is a brand, Microsoft is a brand, Jello is a brand, Trojen is a brand, astroglide is a brand, nike, reebok, Jordan….

One dude talking bout helping starving children but owns a $400 iPod which no one really NEEDS.

Another dude overanalyzing stuff.  Saying how Elvis and rap music is today’s Amos and Andy.  You never mentioned the behavior of the “Rock Star” that uses drugs, sex and violence…which is JUST as destructive as the “gangsta” crew.

And we got a couple other saying people are jealous of him because he got a mohawk.  Personally i’d never sport that iPod, i’d pull those diamonds out and sell them on ebay, then i’d sell the ipod.

Burnage. Diddy sucks. Yes he’s rich and famous. He still sucks. But not for the diamond iPod. Just in general.
