Pacific Rim debuts iCradle, Gel Shield for iPod nano

Pacific Rim Technologies has announced two new iPod nano accessories—the Nano iCradle and the Nano Gel Shield. Both products will be available the second week of November. The Nano iCradle ($49.99) consists of a dock and a remote that allows users to control their nano from up to 30 feet away. The iCradle, which is available in black or white, also lets users sync/charge their nano. Pacific Rim’s Nano Gel Shield ($19.99) is a silicone case with an anti-dust coating that “does not pick up lint or dust while in your pocket or your desk.” The Gel Shield comes in a 3-pack (white, blue and black) with a lanyard stereo headset, and a click wheel and screen protector.

I love the obnoxious green screen protector, just in case you enjoyed reading stuff on the screen or something.

What was going through Pacific Rim’s head’s when they designed the screen protector????
Anyways, I like the iCradle. I think I may get it instead of the Apple Universal Dock/Remote combo.

I would get the cradle in a heartbeat if it had a regular headphone jack. One problem with the Nano in the docks is the only audio option is “Line Out” since the headphones jack gets covered up (on the bottom of the unit).
On my other iPods, I like to use the dock with headphones at work. It’s convenient having my iPods standing on a dock instead of lying flat on my work table.
