Is the intent then that the PDASmart battery has a longer battery life than the standard iPod battery, or is it a 1:1 replacement for a battery that’s just not holding a charge as well as it did when first purchased??

For those with older 5 gig iPods....try downgrading your firmware to 1.1 before buying a new battery...otherwise your iPod may kill the new battery too.....downgrading the firmware on my 5 gig significantly increased runtime and standby time…
