Pod à porter turns iPod shuffle 3G into necklace

Michiel Cornelissen has introduced its new Pod à porter neckband for the third-generation iPod shuffle. The Pod à porter’s unique design routes the headphone cord through the 3D printed polyamide band, leaving the plug exposed on one end for connection to the iPod shuffle, while the right and left earbud cords emerge on the other side, leaving the remote controls accessible. Michiel Cornelissen’s Pod à porter neckband for the third-generation iPod shuffle is available now in a variety of colors and sells for $27.

This concept isn’t all that new. I have the Incipio Loop case and use a lanyard to hang the iPod shuffle around my neck. It’s better than using the flimsy built-in clip. However, I’m really digging the design of the neckband and am thinking of getting one. My only concern is whether or not you can you different headphones for the neckband, i.e. the Klipsch Image s4i.
