who makes these cases?
Probably the same factory in China that apparently spits out by the millions the side-hinged aluminum nano case that’s now all over the place. With the nano case, I’ve noticed recently that Hong Kong sellers on eBay can’t even move ‘em at a $0.01 (+$10 s/h, of course). Now it’s hard to imagine anyone paying the $20-$29 price U.S. retailers were originally asking for the nano version, and it’ll probably be just as pathetic a sell for the 5G version as well.
BTW, the bottom hinge on the 5G case is an instance of really dimbulb, slap-em-out, quick-to-production design, since the iPod has to be taken out entirely to be recharged or connected for synching.

Anyone have this case? Can you review this case and tell us if it worth buying?

I bought it and the only real problem is the fit from the front to the back of the case. It holds my 60gb iPod fine side to side, but when I center the iPod in the case from front to rear, (so that the cables can align with the dock connector), there is an 1/8 inch gap between the rubber on the back of the case and the iPod and the same on the front. This leaves plenty of space on the front for dirt and debris to enter the case. I emailed PodsPlus about this and they replied that this is the way it had to be designed. I have since, cut out several layers of felt and filled in the back half of the case and thew front half, so now when it closes, there is a snug fit on the front and rear.

The podsplus aluminum case for 5g 30gb ipod is awesome-however you can’t fit the dock connector for a fm transmitter from monster. I just realized this Christmas Day. The case bottom opening is not wide enough to accept the connector a pretty big oversight.
If you don’t plan to use it in a car its a superor case.
