ProClip today announced new automotive mounts for the 40 and 60GB iPod photo models to securely hold the devices in cars, trucks, vans and SUVs. ProClip mounts are clip-on brackets that attach to a vehicle’s dashboard or console, and can be self-installed “in seconds,” according to the company. Once the bracket is in place, a custom designed holder is attached to hold the iPod. Pricing starts at $24.95.

Cool—I’m actually looking for a NON-charger dash mount for my Photo. (Battery lasts so long anyway, I’d rather keep it simple and cordless via iTrip.)
These don’t look gentle enough to me though. And probably won’t fit well with skins like my PodSleevz.
Skin/sleeve-friendly, non-glue car mount recommendations would be welcome!

I had been using the ProClip mount with my iPod 3G, 40GB, but the same holder also fits my new iPod photo 60GB. It probably will not work with skins, though. The holder is quite gentle, and leaves no marks at all.
