ProClip has rolled out its new line of holders for the iPhone 4. The lineup includes both padded and adjustable models of its tilt-swivel holder, tilt-swivel holder with pass-though 30-pin connector, tilt-swivel charging holder with cigarette lighter adapter, and tilt-swivel charging holder with straight power cord for fixed installations. Notably, the padded models are designed to hold bare iPhone 4 units, while the adjustable models can accept iPhone 4 units covered in a variety of different silicone-type cases, though not Apple’s iPhone 4 Bumper case. Also, all the holders require a custom vehicle mount which is not included in the price. ProClip’s new line of holders is available for pre-order now with shipping expected to begin on July 16; pricing ranges from $35 to $80.

That kind of money, and it doesn’t even include a car mount? Screw that. Get an Arkon car mount for $15.

ProClip mounts are expensive, but IMO they’re worth it. You get to mix-and-match vehicle-specific mounts with device-specific holders. And they have a ton of optional accessories for swapping devices between cars or multiple devices in one car. Was disappointed to learn that the adjustable holder still won’t fit Apple’s bumper case- I wonder why not. At this point I’m thinking I might just go for the 3GS padded version as that fits both my wife’s 3GS and my 4 (albeit somewhat loosely). We have mounts in 2 vehicles but only 1 device holder because I was holding off to see what shape iPhone 4 would take. But it turns out that iPhone 4 fits well enough in the old 3GS holder (sans case or bumper).

Actually, their iPhone 3GS holders work perfectly with iPhone 4. In fact, my 3GS holder holds my 4 even better in its case than than it held my 3GS.

BTW, ProClip is also making separate mounts that are compatible with the Apple bumper case. Although I don’t know why you’d bother since most likely your car charger or audio solution won’t fit with the bumper anyway.
I ended up ordering a 2nd 3GS holder since they work with both the 3GS and the 4.
