Proporta will soon be releasing a 100% aircraft-grade aluminum and neoprene case for 3G iPods featuring access to iPod ports and the ‘Hold switch’. The flip lid design also enables the case to act as a desktop stand. The Proporta website does not have any info as of yet, but we have sent an email to Proporta asking when it is to be released and pricing. Meanwhile, there are several photos of the new iPod case for your viewing. Click ‘Read more.’

How much? looks “neat” as long as it’s slim it’s a-okay, minimal look and not to sure about Aluminium as they scratch like hell (and how is the surface? anodised? painted? raw with sand-blasting?) need more answers - I’m sure it’ll pop up very soon.

talked to some guy at 1-888-331-0803 from the company.
Only thing I got out of the conversation was it might be out in about 8 weeks. No idea what price it will be or anything. “Best to contact SALES from the website” and they might be able to answer those questions.
Anyone want to email sales?!

Hmmm…don’t like this concept at all. Covering up a stylish design like the IPOD with a plain squarish aluminum box seems like a bad idea to me. But wait! It also serves as an IPOD stand! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I would like it if it could go on a belt clip, but it has great looks and functionality. It would protect the iPod while doing things that would otherwise risk damage.
I have found that I like a variety of cases for a variety of circumstances. But then again, some think I have OCD and are probably right when it comes to the iPod.
