Purported next-gen iPhone display appears online

New photos showing a purported next-gen iPhone front panel and display assembly have appeared online. MacRumors reports that UBreakiFix received the photos, which show a white front panel that looks nearly identical to parts seen previously, and a display unit on the rear side. Once again, no precise measurements were made, but it does appear that the next-gen iPhone’s display will be taller than current models, measuring 4” diagonally while retaining the same pixel density as the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. Apple is expected to unveil its next-generation iPhone at a special media event September 12.

OK, we’re only about 3 weeks from the official reveal of *something* from Apple that will almost certainly include the latest iPhone update, rumors have consistently pointed to the taller form factor, and there have been multiple leaks of photos already consistent with the rumors…
If some photos of components for the rumored iPad mini or the barely mentioned rumored iPod touch fifth generation appear, by all means, I’m interested, but I fail to see what this “yet another” set of photos adds to our collective knowledge of the rumor mill for the next iPhone update. It’s the tech equivalent of a Lindsay Lohan looked wasted at a club over the weekend story if you ask me

#1 loosen up, it’s just more confirmation on rumors. get ready to sit through it until they actually announce the thing.

I am with you CM. I am one of those waiting for the iPhone release to upgrade. But I think I have a fairly solid grasp on what to expect at this point. Even if this is all slight of hand, and Apple drops something totally unexpected (I truly doubt this), all of this duplication of information is overkill.
