Let’s not forget who invented the iPod… I believe it was an American company. Enough said.

Why not use the Apple dock? That’s what I do, charges the battery, has line out, and looks MUCH better than this $70 faux rock.

“looks crap” is perfectly fine British English…don’t attack the dialect of others in your own ignorance.
And, yes, it’s disgustingly ugly. Anyone who finds that attractive should buy a Creative Jukebox and stay far away from Apple.

Hey just add a Griffin Tech Flashlight to your ipod and you would have a desk lamp…or a miniature lighthouse. “land ho! look out for those rocks! Arghhh!”

Well…. it definitely got you talking. Wish the dialog was a little more constructive… you know, something that I could use to improve the product. Perhaps some bash for the fun of it, but if you’d bash and then make a “useful” recommendation… I can act on that and maybe come up with something that you guys would actually like and find useful… after all isn’t that what it’s all about?

Damn, you guys are harsh.
To the guy who wants an Airport Extreme compatible dock is just plain ridiculous since no such thing exists.
Personally, it’s not something I’d have on my desk, only because I’m into that ultra-modern look. This would be great for the older folk, and those who have money to spare.
Another reason I would be iffy about this product is because the iPod gets scratched easily. Unless the slot that the iPod fits into is lined with fabric, I could see this easily scratching the iPod.

THE ROCKDOCK IS MADE OF CORIAN SO I DON’T THINK IT WILL SCRATCH THE IPOD.
FOLKS THAT WANT SOMETHING NICE TO SIT THEIR IPOD IN WHILE LISTENING TO THEIR MUSIC…THEY WILL BUY THIS. YOU GUYS SOUND SO UNEDUCATED…I AGREE YOU ALL ARE HARSH !!! AT LEAST THIS COMPANY IS TRYING TO LIVE THE AMERICAN DREAM AND DEVELOP A PRODUCT. I GIVE THEM A LOT OF CREDIT FOR AT LEAST TRYING.

Oh by the way “A Proud American”, you said “Let’s not forget who invented the iPod… I believe it was an American company. Enough said.”
Worth remembering then that your slinky little iPod was in fact designed by a Brit. Enough said indeed.

Designed by a Brit, Made in China… absolutely! What do you think makes America such a great country? We recognize that we’re a global community, embrace the skills and contribution of every nation and strive to create an environment that fosters a better life for everyone. We’re a country that thrives on innovation and celebrates achievement. What’s wrong with that???

And the company that makes the iPod’s guts, PortalPlayer, is a mostly Indian company with HQs in Hyderabad and Santa Clara. Their founder is Indian.
