i know refurbished means not completely new but i feel so betrayed right after purchasing a 20g ipod at the normal price.

I bought the 40GB refurb and love it. I could not tell the difference from new except for the packaging. Instead of the neat white square box, I got a plain brown box. I didn’t get the iPod for the box so it got thrown away (less clutter, which I need BAD). I got the extended warranty with it as well. I have had good luck with two Dell refurbs, a laptop and an Axim. Heck, same warranty, why not!

I wish they shipped to the UK. I want a 40GB iPod for that price.

I have also purchased the 40GB refurb for $399… looks and plays like new. I think the only thing that’s “refurb” about it is the packaging, which as described above, is Dell-brown. But I doubt anyone would give me $100 on Ebay for an empty white Ipod box, so I figure it’s a good deal.

am thinking of returning my 20 gb amazon purchase and grabbing a 40 gb refurbished here, does it include the in-line remote also? these are 3g right? also what exactly makes them refurb, is the hard drive/battery new? or have they been used for an indefinite amount of time? thanks for any info.
