RhinoSkin intros aluminum case for 2G iPod shuffle

RhinoSkin has announced its new iPod shuffle Accents. Designed for the second-generation iPod shuffle, the aluminum cases feature a neoprene lining and a high-polish finish in four colors—red, blue, green and pink. RhinoSkin’s Shuffle Accent four-pack retails for $20 and will be available in December.

I like the fact that they’re calling them “Shuffle Accents”. An aluminum case for an aluminum case is kinda pointless. An “Accent” is exactly what it is.

No more or less pointless than any other case really - I mean, I’d rather scratch an aluminium case than the aluminium body of my player, wouldn’t you?
I just wish they had something similar for the 2nd gen Nanos - I love the style of my 8GB Nano but I’m terrified I’ll scratch it.
But, equally, I don’t want a case that makes it three time the size it is normally.

These things are cool for folks who have silver shuffles. When I got my iPod shuffle Accents, there seemed to be two varieities - this one and one without the neoprene. I got the latter; the colors were the same color the shuffle comes in. Overall, i’m pretty happy with these covers. They seem to do the job well and they aren’t bad in the price department.
