“A New Jersey woman, one of the hundreds of people accused of copyright infringement by the Recording Industry Association of America, has countersued the big record labels, charging them with extortion and violations of the federal antiracketeering act.”

Countersuing using the racketeering statutes is BRILLIAN!!! (even if it is a long shot)
Imagine finding a sympathetic (or politically hungry) prosecuting attorney willing to hit the RIAA with criminal racketeering charges?!?! Can’t you just see all those record executive’s limos being confiscated for the RICCO (sp?) act?
Hey… we still have the right to dream in this country… for a while yet…
