Rivet has announced iGrab, a leather holster for 3G/4G iPod and iPod mini models. The product features a Rivet stainless steel pin integrated into the back of the harness, which allows it to be quickly changed from lanyard, car dash or belt loop. The iGrab is available in a variety of colors and offers full access to all controls and ports. Suggested retail price will be $39.99 for iGrab with QR hook and QR Dash attachments and $29.95 for iGrab with Lanyard attachment. It will be available next week through the company’s online store, and at national retailers in February 2005.

The whole description on this product on the company’s site is slighty confusing, and they consider it a kit rather than a component. Otherwise apart from that, the clip looks pretty cool, although you wouldn’t see me hanging my ipod from my neck, more like my belt.

I bought the U2 ipod at Best Buy and bought the Rivet Supertreker in the wireless accessory department. Why do I want to stick this insane looking U2 iPod in a case??? This harness is the perfect solution….... The Rivet product has such superior quality as a phone clip so I am sure this will be top notch. I have e-mailed Rivet to let me know the minute this harness comes out!

Not to try to jump on his case or anything, but bydasea sounds like a planted comment. Especially since he joined the the same day he had this posted, and has his case already listed as Rivet… I won’t pre-judge this product or anything, but seems kinda cheap to write fake comments about your own product as it seems this was.
