Scosche ships FlipSync II keychain for iPod, iPhone

Scosche has announced that it is now shipping its new FlipSync II full-sized keychain USB charge and sync cable for the iPod and iPhone. The FlipSync II is a miniature USB 2.0 charge and sync cable that fits on a keychain, providing short—but full-sized—USB and 30-pin connectors that fold neatly back into the keychain when not in use. The FlipSync II full-sized keychain USB charge and sync cable for the iPod and iPhone is available now and sells for $20.

I like this design, but I don’t like the $20 price tag. Considering that DealExtreme sells similar iOS adapters-on-a-keychain for around $5, I’m sure they price more competitively.

what’s the difference between the FlipSync I and the FlipSync II? They look the same aside from a couple small aesthetic changes.

I was wondering that myself. I just got the first generation of this in November, and it works just fine.
It seems to me that companies are coming out with newer items just to stretch their revenue, with no real appreciable differences. This seems like the same strategy to me. I hope they prove me wrong.
