Second iPhone Software 2.2 beta enables Street View, other Maps improvements
Apple has seeded its second beta version of iPhone Software 2.2 to select developers, adding fully-enabled Street View and more directions options to the Google Maps application. APIs supporting Street View were discovered in the prior 2.2 beta, but were not enabled. As seen in screenshots posted to iPhoneYap’s forums, the Maps application in Software 2.2 also features buttons at the top of the directions view for selecting between walking, bus, and driving directions, complete with a list of transit times, if applicable. In addition, the new seed also offers support for line-in audio accessories in the SDK. [via MacRumors]

This update is great and all but I want flash support, I want copy and paste and I want MMS. Above all of that I want safari not to crash everyday while I am on large websites.

I do agree with Ryan… and I would like a real Bluetooth as well…
But the copy/paste is really a loss!!!

Nice! This will REALLY be useful in cities where Google Transit service is available. Especially to people who fall into my group. This group would be, in a Venn diagram, the intersection of the sets, “Owns an iPhone or iPod Touch” and “Does not own an automobile.”

The iPhone doesn’t have real bluetooth? (This is a real question. I have an iPhone but no bluetooth devices to use with it)
