It is a perfect compliment to my large ipod music collection!  The ipod comes on the long trips and the shuffle comes with me to the store.  It’s priced right, looks great and will no doubt find it’s way into my pocket sooner or later!

I think that the Ipod Shuffle is going to grab alot of people with its slender design and simple to use features not to mention the low price.  Already Apple has created great accessories for the product…rugged case, neckstrap, etc.  I think that Apple is going to create a niche for other companies as well to come out with great accessories to work well with it.  I believe it is going to be the next fad for kids in the schools to wear around their neck, every kid is going to want one!

I think it has a sleek design, and is a good option for the casual listener, but the lack of display and other features don’t warrant it a purchase over other flash mp3 players

My first impression of the Ipod Shuffle is very impressive.  I really like they have kept it in white color and the size and weight to be very small and light.
I would like to see apple to add a display on the earphone as an add-on option.  It is affordable even for students.  I believe this will be a big hit as the Ipod itself.

nice accesorie to a main ipod for sure… the old George Carlin bit, about stuff, and where you keep it, and when you travel, you bring a smaller version of your stuff, just like the shuffle.  I own a mini, if I were to have a shuffle, I may be obliged to get the photo…

I do not like the iPod Shuffle, I think Apple could have done much better. Without a digital screen, the usability of the iPod Shuffle is unproductive. Apple can do a lot better.

The ipod shuffle is apple’s way of utilizing the randomness that many people enjoy when they have the kind of music library that the average Ipod owner tends to. I have to admit that I am not an exception at all. Having a huge variety of songs that I consciously have to choose from is sometimes an unpleasant experience, but a shuffle would really save me some time and ultimately create a fun atmosphere for me no matter where I’d take it.

I think the size and storage are great for its small size, definatley protable, small, sleek and probably has room for an upgrade in the near future, (screen, accessories etc etc)

The iPod shuffle is an interesting product for a number of reasons.

Firstly from a pure technology minded point of view, it is a relatively small storage space flash media player. Something that intially Apple dismissed as a passing trend, but now as all Apple marketing goes they are trying to make it trendy. The genius behind the Shuffle is probably the one feature of the product that has defined it since its release, Simplicity.

The Shuffle is the bait of the whole Apple line, its release with the Mac Mini is a well though out marketing strategy. A strategy made to lure non-Mac users into the world of Apple. By releasing the Shuffle at such a competive price point they make a piece of the “Apple Lifestyle” affordable to a far wider range of people than ever before. The Shuffle is the bait, and the hook is its simplicity and lack of features. People will fall in love with the Mac way and then feel limited by the simplistic nature of the shuffle. They then will be seeking out more Mac Hardware, and conveinently Apple has just released its cheapest computer ever, the trap snaps closed with the harsh, yet soft white glow of beautiful marketing.
