SI, ESPN show off iPhone 7 Plus camera capabilities in new photo galleries

Sports Illustrated photographer David E. Klutho used Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus to take photos at this weekend’s Titans-Vikings NFL game, and the results are fairly impressive. Klutho’s crisp images show the dual-camera’s range, capturing quick motion, flames, vivid colors and intricate details in closer shots. Head over to Sports Illustrated’s website to see all 18 photos.

ESPN photographer Landon Nordeman also put the iPhone 7 Plus through its paces over the weekend, photographing the U.S. Open. Nordeman captured play on the courts, but also took some time to focus on the crowd and try some shots from the stands to get into the mindset of what it’s like to document a sporting event strictly as a fan. The professional photographer found the phone’s “autofocus and exposure performed exceedingly well in various lighting conditions,” so that he could even get a good shot during one-handed use. The photo below is a taste of Nordeman’s work, but there’s plenty more on ESPN’s website.
