Apple fired off a dismissive statement about Dell’s entry into the digital music business.
‘It appears that Dell is re-branding one of the second-tier music services that will be announced soon, just like they are re-branding Creative’s MP3 player. There is little original here,’ Apple’s statement said.”

Apple’s statement is strong, but I would ask them this: How do they know that it is a rebranded Creative player, and would that “second tier” music service be buymusic?”

Is it really rebranded? The button layout and such are completely different from the players Creative has offered.
This sounds a lot like hot air.

I thought it was a rebrand of the e.Digital Odyssey MP3 player… Or at least that’s what I read on another website.

Why even qualify Dell’s attempt with a statement.
