That is one nasty looking car, but to have a feature with an iPod built in is pretty neat. I wonder what impact the iPod would have in the automotive industry in the States? It seems as though some integrated their iPods and minis into their vehicles with some style. Is there more to come???

Some of the other smartcar models are pretty cool.
All you Europeans complaining about having to wait for a mini, we in the US will have to wait until 2006 for a smartcar.

The smarts are available in Canada this fall (04). Saw them in person at the auto show, and they could very well be the coolest cars around. You have to see one first hand to judge them. Love the fact that you can pull straight in to a parking spot at the curb (perpendicular).

Yeah the SmartCar is an amaingly cool, sweet, and super-small car. It’s a pity that the long-delayed US edition will be adding both length and girth to the classic design. I guess American ##### were too fat for the “original” size.
I live in San Francisco - a classic SmartCar would RULE for parking! It’s the ultimate city car - makes the Mini Cooper look like an oversized hawg.

I love ya’ iPodLounge, but this is old news. Smart has been pimping the iPod for at least the last 6-months, if not longer.
Fat ###,
I’m with you 100%. A fatter SmartCar. What’s the point?
It’s time we Think Different about transportation in this country. There are a lot of us who would put our money where our mouth is, but keep the twice-cooked products (like a fat Smart) off the list: the real deal is always better.
