Speakal has introduced its iPig speaker system for iPod. iPig, as the name suggests, is designed to resemble a pig, and features an integrated iPod Dock, 5 speakers, including a 4-inch subwoofer, powered by a built-in 25-watt amplifier, adjustable bass control, indicator lights built into the system’s “mouth,” and an RF remote control. Available now in white, yellow, or pink, the Speakal iPig sells for $140.

Yeah? Really? $140 for a plastic pig? Who is the market for this thing?

Sure, it ain’t for everybody, but I think this has a chance to be a real success. It’s got plenty of cutesy appeal.
As an Arkansas Razorback diehard, however, I would recommend that Speakal introduce a nice red color so we Hog fans would have incentive to purchase. Trust me, there are plenty of folks around here that would buy one.

For something close to $40 you can get a wireless logitech system that will give you the chance to connect any MP3 and use it as a remote control…and even more important, you can use any type of speakers or sound sytem that you probably have ...instead of buying this uggly thing.

I’ve saw this pig on CES, it has very impressive sound. I remember it’s from a company named Lanchiya digital, named amethyst iPig, and they have many very good speakers
